"After just buying our house our ac went out and didn’t know who to call. Well let me say how happy I am I called Gent Heating and cooling. This happened on Friday afternoon- their tech Blake came out within two hours diagnosed the problem but unfortunately couldn’t get the last part needed. Monday the ladies in the office Missy and Michelle were on top of it and by Monday afternoon Blake was back out and my air was fixed. Super reasonably priced, excellent customer service, polite and knowledgeable tech. Took the best care of us. All around great experience and the level of professionalism we were shown doesn’t go un-noticed. Will be calling them for all our future needs and will highly recommend to anyone needing cooling or heating assistance! Thank you all again for outstanding service!!!"

"I have been dealing with 3 of my bedrooms not cooling since we had our duct work replaced 2 years ago. I’ve had 3 different companies come out to fix it and it still wouldn’t work. I called them yesterday and they came out today to give me a quote and went ahead and fixed it for me. Now all 3 of my bedrooms are cooking off. "I had a leak in my old AC unit that meant I had to have it replaced. The unit was in my attic, and the leaking water had damaged the ceiling and walls in the bathroom below. I hired Gent to do the replacement, and they got it done quickly. However, in the weeks after the repair, a new leak developed that dripped and damaged the ceiling, walls, and door of an adjacent bedroom. Gent came out and found that the source of the new leak was some ducting leading into the new AC unit they had installed. They had not worked on the ducting directly, but the way it was mounted into the new AC unit had a “dip” in how the ducting was routed that allowed humidity to condense and drip down from the bottom of the dip. I was worried I was going to have a big argument on my hands about who was responsible for repairing the new damage and the fix for the new drip, since technically the unit Gent installed was not directly malfunctioning. Fortunately, that did not happen. First they sent someone out to modify the routing of the duct to eliminate the low point where the condensation was dripping, at no additional charge. But on top of that, they said they would cover the cost of repairing the new drywall, ceiling, and door damage. They made this very simple. I had the drywall repair guy write up separate receipts for the original damage and the new damage, and Gents had me email the latter to them. Within a few days, the check arrived. It was not a small amount - something like 20% of the cost of the original AC replacement.

I was just so impressed at how Gent handled this issue. When they called to tell me they would be covering the cost of the repair, they said their number one motivation was to keep their customers happy, and they definitely did that. I was ready to go to small claims court over this issue if I had had to, but it never even came close to that - they were ready to do the right thing from practically the moment I reported the problem. To my mind, this was a textbook case of high professional standards and outstanding responsibility. I wholeheartedly recommend Gent to anyone in need of their services."

Our air conditioner wasn’t cooling as much as it usually did. Called the Gent office in the morning and they sent a technician the same day. Extremely nice and helpful. He explained the problem and was able to fix it during the same visit. Reasonable price, quick service and our air conditioner was fixed. Would definitely recommend!"

"My business’s AC was out, and since we always use Gent, I made the call. Blake was on-site in a matter of hours and immediately diagnosed our problem as a bad blower motor. He found a replacement about 20 minutes before the supply house was closing and got them to wait for him to get there. He even found a less expensive option for us and stayed until about 6 pm getting it installed and working. Not only did he go the extra mile, but he was very pleasant while doing it!

This was Blake’s first call to our office. We usually get a different tech who is also very friendly and efficient, so I don’t think Blake is unusual for Gent’s techs. They’ve all been first class. Are you wondering if you should use them? Think no more! Make the call now."

"We called Gent Heating & Cooling after being told (by another company) our unit needed a new damper motor. My husband wasn’t convinced of it and we had Gent come and look over our unit to give us a second opinion. They were quick, courteous, and their service tech was very thorough. He tested the damper over and over and each time it worked as it was supposed to. He did make some recommendations and changed a few of our airflow settings, which seem to be working well, but they saved us over $900 in a part we didn’t actually need. Thank you!"

"Gent Heating & Cooling is a superior company with excellent service and installation techs and an office crew that keeps everything running smoothly. I was very impressed with their dedication and commitment to high standards and quality work. Our A/C went out on our nearly 30-year-old Janitrol system during the heat of summer. Gent had a service tech out within a day and was able to get cold air flowing again. We knew it was long past time to buy a new heat/air system, but I still appreciated the service tech being very polite and gentle about the sad state of our existing unit when he suggested replacing it. There was absolutely no hard sales pitch and no pressure -- just the facts and a fair price for a new heat/air install. The office worked hard to get our installation scheduled within a couple of days and we had a new unit installed and a complete duct cleaning sooner than I ever expected. We live in an older (1930s) home that always presents some unexpected quirk and it did during the new unit install, but Gent handled it like the pros they are and I couldn't be more pleased with the product and with the entire Gent Heat & Cool team of professionals. "Gent saved me thousands of dollars! I had another company look at my AC unit and was told the compressor was going bad. I doubted the skill level of that other company's technician and decided to get a second opinion and called Gent. The Gent technician took less than an hour to not only figure out the problem but get it repaired as well. I needed a faulty heat sequencer replaced, not a new compressor as I was told by the other company. Also, I was very impressed that they made a point to come out the same day that I called and followed through exactly as they promised. "I am happy we chose Gent Heating and Cooling to replace our 20 yr old Goodman with a new model. The two techs that came out were super efficient and knew exactly what to do. They replaced our old unit, replaced the old metal shroud with a much-improved one that they built on site. It looks good and will keep out the critters. The unit itself is so much quieter than our old unit. They informed me of what they were doing and why as well as cleaned up like they were never here. The owner Shane answered all my questions before they came out to do the job and his price was very reasonable for the heat pump unit, installation, and building of a new shroud. Although I never met any of them, Shane came and gave me an estimate within hours of me calling, when another company I was waiting on for an estimate just kept putting me off. “My wife and I can't begin to tell you how pleased we are that we met Shane and his team. After 2 years of working with one of their "Happy" competitors and unknowingly being sold a bill of goods and scare tactics of a looming HVAC replacement at the cost of tens of "free financed" thousands, we finally have peace of mind. When our AC system finally broke down I decided to get some additional quotes. Shane came in and assessed the situation in about a half-hour... double-checking every step of the way. He even caught the fact that our condensers were flipped outside (2.5 ton installed on a 2-ton air handler and vice versa). Never a word about this from our "Happy" guys. Then, incredible for these days, he recommended exactly what we needed and nothing more... at a very reasonable cost. He sent his installer, Slim, out the very next day who was highly professional, courteous, and quick... completing the job in just a few hours. Spot on!
